Disabling the built in camera (OS X)
Some people might think it is cool, but I really don't like the idea of having a camera staring me in the face when I'm using my computer.

If you make this file disappear, the camera won't be able to function. Using the Unix concept of hidden files and directories, OS X Daily suggests creating a hidden directory to stash it in. The nice thing about this concept is that you aren't really damaging anything and your actions are completely reversible.
# cd /System/Library/QuickTime # mkdir .iSightBackup # mv QuickTimeUSBVDCDIgitizer.component .iSightBackup
