Dealing with Images

Scrivener with MultiMarkdown currently has problems with images.

Using the Markdown Syntax

The syntax is pretty straight forward:

![alt text](path/to/image.ext "optional title/description")

I imported images into the project, in an image folder. You are supposed to be able to enter the following;

![Enterprise](../images/enterprise.png)

The implication in all the documentation is that the leading "../" will create an internal reference. Unfortunately, when I tried it, it always added "file://" to the beginning of the path, forcing it to be and external reference.

Using Links to Internet Images

Michael Hyatt discusses this in his blog post.

Using the $img tag

<$img:NameOfImage;w=1024>

This will find and image file named NameOfImage and assign it a width of 100 pixels.
